Buuilding Supply Yard Worker

We are seeking a hard working and reliable individual for a new Yard Worker position at a building supply store in Elmvale, ON.

Candidates must be comfortable working in an outdoor environment and be passionate about providing expert advice and service to customers. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work and has a keen eye for detail.

Candidates must have experience working with lumber and building supplies. Forklift experience is a strong asset.

Yard Worker Duties:

• Offer expert advice to customers on building and lumber materials
• Handle receiving and loading of products
• Maintain the stock area through organizing and labeling
• Work site cleaning and organizing as needed

Yard Worker Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a lumber/hardware store.
• Strong knowledge of lumber products, including types of wood, sizes, and other specifications.
• Proven customer service skills.
• Proficiency in using measuring tape.
• Experience operating a forklift is an asset.
• Own safety boots.
• Daily access to reliable transportation.
